HIRAN SARKAR

As an artist with over three decades of experience, my art is a conversation between the seen and the felt — a dialogue between the world as it exists and the world as it lives within us. Horses are the beating heart of my work. To me, they are not merely animals — they are mirrors of the human soul. They carry within them the same emotions we do: joy, sorrow, restlessness, longing, and an unspoken desire for connection. Their raw energy, grace, and quiet dignity have made them an enduring presence across my canvases, where I strive to capture not just their form, but their spirit. Oil and acrylic painting are my primary languages, mediums through which I explore depth, movement, and emotion with full expressive freedom. Yet my artistic curiosity refuses to stay still. My work spans Neo Surrealism, where dreamlike imagery bridges the human and the cosmic; the Soul of Bengal series, which celebrates the quiet, soulful beauty of classical Bengali life and culture; the Life of Buddha, a meditative exploration of enlightenment and the human quest for peace; intricate Ink Studies using Pointillism techniques; luminous Alcohol Ink compositions; and Mixed Media works that weave together texture, pattern, and symbolism into a unified whole. Each style is a different doorway into the same truth — that art, at its core, is about feeling deeply and seeing honestly. It has been a profound honor to share this journey through more than 40 solo and group exhibitions across the globe.
